Before a career change into Garden
Design in 2002, I worked in plant conservation and research. I
started my ‘relationship’ with plants at Otley College
in 1986/87 when I studied full-time for my National Certificate
in Horticulture, specialising in Nature Conservation, which
lead to a job with the Suffolk Wildife Trust as an Ecological Surveyor.
I then worked for 15 years in plant research on a variety of tropical
and domestic crop plants, and studied for a BSc in Biological Science
with the Open University. A switch to the equally disciplined
but far more creative world of garden design has been a great success,
with over 3 years of working independently with highly skilled, experienced
and conscientious individuals I can provide the assurance that
my designs will be built to the highest of standards and that my
clients will receive the best possible service.
